Hello our names are Riley and Sasha. Without the help of organisations like Dunroamin we perhaps wouldn't have got a second chance. We found a new Mum and Dad and we found each other. Sasha's not well but she gets all the help she needs. Mum and her friends at Dunroamin now help others like us and sometimes we meet some guests and are able to tell them just how great life is when you find that 'forever home'. If you can, please help Dunroamin to help other needy K9's out there, cos it sure is scary when you're 'on your own'. We are a family now and enjoy all the love and attention that goes with that. Rescue is a great thing.

Stevie was our companion and friend. We had Stevie for 2 years and 9 months after getting him from the Mayflower Sanctuary. We have since lost him to cancer extremely suddenly.
Everyone loved Stevie and were amazed at our little boy. He lived with 4 other dogs, loved his long walks in the fields, woods and loved his holidays in Derbyshire and Northumerbland. Stevie would chase the scent of rabbits on the golf course, stalk birds round the bird table, chase around after footballs with the rest of the boys in the fields and on the beach, go swimming in the sea and paddling in the streams and also cuddle up on the settee, sit on my lap whenever he got chance and basically enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Stevie was a very special character and strangely but amusingly always went crackers every time he heard the songs "ruby ruby ruby" and "who let the dogs out" but Stevie always knew the importance of the word "Steady". Stevie had no eyes. We didn't wrap him in cotton wool so to speak, he had a normal active life with us and we know he loved it. He was extremely good at working out his environment very quickly and he had great confidence and spirit.
We obviously miss Stevie but have and always will have the memories he has given us. |

Jake originally walked into Eastgate Day and Community Support Service where Lorraine Mills of Dun Roamin Rescue worked.
After extensive radio appeals, contacting local vets and putting him on internet sites nobody came forward to claim him.
Jake was then rehomed to myself and my son who is now 16 around 2 years ago when he was thought to be around 18 months old. We regularly have my daughter and her 3 young children around and he adores them and loves to be cuddled up to them.
He has proved to be a wonderful companion and also my best friend, he has befriended my daughters SBT and gets on great with other dogs, children, people, cats, you name it he loves them!
Throughout all of this we still have regular contact with Lorraine and attend charity events for dog rescues within the local area.
I would recommend anyone to adopt a rescue dog, especially the SBT breed which is a fantastic family pet and fantastic with children.
Life would be very dull without Jake now, he even sleeps on my bed!
